HyperSilicon anounce that Altera has signed the Development Kit Partnership agreement with HyperSilicon, who then become the No.1 and only one partner of Altera in mainland China till date.
SOC Prototype and Verification is one of the main applications of the high-end FPGA devices. With the fast growing of the SOC chips, the co-verificaiton of the hardware and software reqiurement is under great pressure. HyperSilicon has been engaging to the FPGA based SOC prototype and verifying from 2004 on. All of the SOC prototype system of HyperSiliion is based on the FPGA devices from Altera Corperation. Till now there have been 6 series type of the SOC prototype platforms for HyperSilicon. The signal speed of the most of the StarFire series FPGA prototype boards is up to 200MHz.
HyperSilicon's SOC/ASIC prototype boards cover most of the audio and video consumer design projects. And we are ble to support the design flow of embedded system of ARM CEVA and Tensilica.
There have been several dozens of boards running in design houses of China and overseas as well.
HyperSilicon would following closely the roadmap of ALtera's high end FPGA, supply the faster, higher capacity, more powerful and easier use SOC/ASIC prototype paltforms to the SOC/IC design houses.
