StarFire-STK
The Hypersilicon FPGA prototype board self-test kit includes one Test Interface Board (TIB), one JTAG cable, one Altera USB-Blaster and one set of TIB runtime software. The StarFire-STK helps user to detect any defect of the connections between the FPGA devices and those between the FPGA device and high density connectors.
There are two JTAG 10-pin IDC sockets, one connector, and some CPLDs on the TIB. The TIB communicate with the PC through the Altera USB-Blaster. The test command and data transmission are implemented through another JTAG cable between the TIB and the board under test. The comprehensive Self-Test functionality is performed in TIB runtime software. Within a few minutes, user is able to pinpoint any potential hardware problems such as open, short, bridge defects between the FPGA devices, or between the FPGA device and connectors.
StarFire-STK is a standard option of StarFire series of SOC prototype boards, including StarFire-DARM, StarFire-CEVARM, StarFire-V120, StarFire-V340, StarFire-DARM680 and StarFire-2D680.
